1pm – 1:45pm: Eran Troy Danner
2pm – 3:30pm: Wilton Steel Community Band
4:00pm – 4:45pm: Alex Cano
Wilton Steel Community Band was formed 9 years ago by world-renowned musician, composer and my friend, Arthur Lipner.
Arthur’s goal was two-fold, to bring the wonderfully happy sounds of Caribbean steel drums to his community, and secondly to invite anyone to play regardless of experience. Many members whom joined the Wilton Steel Community Band had no musical experience beforehand!
Since 2010, Wilton Steel has brought dozens of members on the journey of music-making to over 200 performances and is going strong.
Eran Troy Danner
Eran Troy Danner is Connecticut’s foremost up and coming performer. As a singer, guitarist and songwriter, he has drawn rave reviews from fans and has built a loyal following throughout New England.
Performing “LIVE” blues, swing and originals off his recently released CD’s, Eran immediately takes charge of the evening with his magnetic stage presence and exudes blazing passion on guitar. He delivers an astonishing highly intense night of music aimed at keeping the crowd entertained. He naturally draws audiences in, gets them out on the dance floor and keeps them there, sometimes performing all night without a single break.
Eran played the blues circuit in Connecticut with various bands for fifteen years before striking out on his own in 2003. Since then, his career has reached new heights. He has appeared in New England’s top venues, has frequently appeared live on radio stations and has been invited to be the opening act for many National performers and has released his original CD’s “7 Songs”,”This Is It”,”Lucky Day” and “God Girls Guitars”. Eran Troy Danner is making a mark on music that cannot be erased.
Alex Cano is a Folk/Alternative Rock solo artist from South Salem, NY. Alex has been studying music since the age of 5. He began his professional music career as a drummer in his mid teens. He has since performed nationwide with numerous projects/artists from the NYC, Hudson Valley, and Central New York regions. Eventually falling in love with songwriting, Alex took up voice/guitar and began crafting his own original music.
Alex's sound comes from an eclectic array of influences. His music has been described as a cross between energetic alternative rock, and reflective folk/roots rock with elements of outlaw and alt/country. His baritone voice has been compared to singers such as Jim Morrison, Johnny Cash, and Eddie Vedder. Most significant musical influences include bands and artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Chris Stapleton, Jamestown Revival, The National, The Band, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson.
Alex's debut album "Every Rise of the Sun" was released June 25, 2019 and is available on all digital platforms. He is currently on a North American tour to support the record.
